采用开源的企业越发的多，是否给诸多的供应商或服务商带来机会了呢？虽然本文所列出的均是应用软件如ERP、CRM等，基础设施厂商占的比重则少的可怜。这和我固定的井底之蛙的思维有关。

有句话叫：“你手里拿着锤子，眼里就只有钉子。” 所以要刻意训练自己的视野，不断的尝试其它领域，让自己能够有足够的思考素材。

开源不仅仅是指基础设施，还有很多地方开源更能发挥创新。

Rackspace 对于开源的影响，包括OpenStack的贡献，后来的犹豫和踌蹰，再到各种危机。

其实我现在开始好奇这家公司的决策者，到底是个什么样的角色？对待开源从爱到恨，再到放弃。再看AWS和Azure、Google，则是拥抱开源，相互抢夺开发者。

Rackspace 的商业案例以后要多关注下。

嗯，最近看到开源界有些人在谴责AWS对待开源的态度。这篇文章分析的非常中肯，我特别喜欢其中的三段，直接摘抄：

开源是让所有公司受益的大于付出的：You know, like every single company on earth, inside or outside of tech, probably even including Red Hat. The simple truth is that everyone consumes far more open source software than they contribute. It’s just how the world works.

Google对于那些不开源的辩解理由：There are many great reasons not to open source code—e.g., added burden of support, documentation, upfront work on the code, etc.

对于AWS对待开源的态度，长久来看他会失去市场： If AWS doesn’t contribute enough, and if this is bad for business, the market will punish AWS. That hasn’t happened, and suggests that perhaps AWS’ critics have misplaced their criticism, and need to rethink their business strategies.

开放创新在亚洲政府

此人又在忽悠不懂远东文化的西方人了，环太平洋的政府都不是这么玩开源的。尤其是中国。那叫自主可控开源，或者是纯国产的开源。

这是一篇典型的忽悠文章，在洛杉矶思考越南人民的思考方式。经济行为要以当地的政治、习俗、文化等为基础，无视这些就得死。

Tim O‘Reilly 对自己专业生涯最为自豪的事情：“I’m really proud of the role I played in reshaping the narrative about open-source software. It was seen as this business-hostile thing: free software. But I saw it as a huge flowering of opportunity that’s open to the world. I guess if you look at my entire career, I’m trying to talk about the value of generosity. And why generosity is not something you paste on at the end – generosity is something that is generative. Generosity is the thing that is at the beginning of prosperity, not at the end.”

是的，下一期的开源英雄就是O’Reilly先生了。他的新书也要第一时间下单。

那个开源阅读指南相当的棒，有几本是我没有读过的。中文版的机会没有。改进开源开发的impact这个需要近期阅读和研究。

While shoppers can still pick up purchases from Ikea’s newly designed showrooms, it will incorporate features that will make it more accessible, both physically and digitally. 这就是一种用户参与的创新！

一个没有开源的世界？

这个就非常的有意思了。Google的开源主管说：“没有开源整个互联网都不存在了。” 谁离开开源了？谁能离开开源？

虽然文章没有意想中的那么的精髓，但是立意很棒。至少让你思考：“如何离开开源我是什么？”，我们绝大多数时候可以体验到“没有Google我会怎么样。”但是没有开源的世界，世界就不是如此的多样。

应该说我们值得庆幸：因为开源，世界更加的美好。
